Our modern responsive homes care predominantly for the elderly. However, we also
provide nursing, residential care, and care for those suffering dementia or
physical disability.
Residential / Personal care
Residential care is generally for people who need a little more help with day to
day chores like washing, cooking, dressing or cleaning. Residential does not
normally cover nursing or treatment of medical conditions.
Nursing care
Alongside residential care, nursing homes offer the expertise of qualified
nurses and provide professional care for general medical conditions. In many
instances, they also dispense specialist care for dementia.
Dementia
Most of our care homes offer dementia care, and depending on the severity of the
condition, residential or nursing care may be recommended. Before beginning any
care, we advise a assessment of your needs and an informal chat with your
chosen care home.
Young physically disabled (YPD) care
Please check with your chosen care home for details of service provided.
Generally for people who can no longer stay at home, Young Physically Disabled
care enables a greater degree of care in a responsive environment.
Respite care
To give carers a break, many homes offer respite stays, either in
made-to-measure rooms or vacant suites.
Convalescent or post-operative care
Short term care for those recovering from an operation or treatment.
Pallative and terminal care
In this instance, quality of life is key. Care involves controlling pain and
relieving symptoms to make the patient comfortable.
